Will got the Christmas spirit!

Who would have guessed that my babe Will was the first to wear a gnome hat at this household around Christmas! But he did, just for me 💗😍💗 Maybe he has his playful side after all! I know he has, but he just so seldom lets anyone to see it 😞💔

Isn't he handsome no matter what he wears?! 😘 Oh, and you finally get to see his fabulous Grim Reaper glasses, bought from Dollmore!

(And yes, they may write "Ho-ho-ho" "Hou-hou-hou" there in Finland 😂)

Esther gets a haircut!

Hi dears! This time we got a new post out sooner instead of later 😘

Esther finally got rid of her long locks, which she really disliked. Her wig is ordered from Cool Cat Collection Shop. And this is how it looked on her before the cut.

 It was a bit nerve-breaking to see her hair been cut off...

...but the result was most delightful!

I'm also taking part to a summer picture project, this is the first picture for that project. Wish me luck I'll be able to be able to do a photo shoot every week 😏 And I wish we'll get some shoots done outdoors 🌲🌳🌲🌳🌞🌲🌲

The Girl and The Red Boots

Hello there, my sweet little mortal dears 💗 Have you had a magnificent week? Today I'm doing a better update on my killer boots, which I received around the turn of the year. They're Brick Red Taeyang Boots from online store Cool Cat Collection. They're the most adorable little things the post brought the whole year! 

Oh, and in the case anyone's interested; I'm wearing Taeyang Romantic Mad Hatter tunic. It have been surprisingly versatile outfit! Underneath I have white tulle skirt meant for 1/4 dolls (even though I'm closer to 1/6, it was perfect on the waist and the length is really nice), bought from Ebay. Socks are from Taeyang Captaing Hook outfit, if I remember it right...

Poor little Abel had to sit aside this time 💔 Though it doesn't look like he minded 😏

These shoes are really adorable and I can imagine using them with so many outfits.

The shoes fit perfectly. Nothing makes a lady with larger feet more happy than finding fitting and neat-looking pair of boots 💕 

If there's anything to complain, it would be the quality of material. The shoes were quite easy to wear. Yet, this is the second time now I'm wearing them, and the shoe sole of the right shoe was already badly detached from the sticking. I have my bad right ankle (which I have probably broken at work), so our host had to be super careful when fitting the shoe in my foot. I suspect that's why it was detached. It seems like the surface of the fake leather (kind of like "red paint") falls off easily, so it couldn't stick tight with the shoe sole. Luckily it was really easy to fix with superglue.

So, only future will tell us how well theses shoes will handle frost and moisture (I'm not going to hiking, but unfortunately these are the conditions even at our home yard...).

Happy 100th birthday, Finland!

Today is the 100th Finnish Independence day celebration. As you can guess, there's a lot going on thanks to the anniversary. So, we decided to celebrate this once-in-a(-human)-lifetime occasion with dolly style.

A thing worth noting is that Finns seem to do a lot of stuff with their dolls, instead of mainly just collecting them (I've heard some collectors around the world never even remove the stock outfits from most of their dolls). Customizing is very popular, as well as making clothes, doing photo shoots and writing stories for the dolls etc. I guess this is partly due to it's a pain in the ass to get any new dolls here in the woods ( 😆 ). On the other hand as distances between you and other doll enthusiasts can be long, it's nice to do all kind of stuff with your dolls when you're most of the time "alone" with the hobby. The third reason might be that as most of us are surrounded by nature, it's nice to dress dolls according to season and do outdoor photo shoots. Okay, this was actually an insight coming from my host, but I thought it would be nice to put here a little analysis of Finnish doll-addicts for sake of the day 😁

I arrived in Finland roughly a year ago, and as they don't tell that much about anything to dolls, I don't know a much about this country. The only thing I know everybody thinks there's snowy winters all around the country, but so far there have been only few days of snowing and it's very dark, cold and wet outside. So as a dignified lady, there's no way anybody could make me do outdoor photo shoots right now 😖 But it's alright, as my host's emerging green screen skills are here to safe the day! By this pic, we want to wish you great celebration 💗

I hold lily of the valley in my hands, as it's the national flower of Finland. And I indeed don't have the kind of a great airy white dress you see in the photo... no, it's painted in the picture. My apologizes for breaking the illusion 😛 The shirt is from taeyang Dollte-Potre Alfred outfit. The necklace (actually a bracelet) and the bow pin are borrowed from my host 💗 The main program used at editing is Paint Tool SAI.

The First Advent

Long time no see, did you miss me? 😘💗 We decided to take part in advent calendar set up by local doll forum. So I'm going to submit a new pic every Sunday till Christmas!

This time we had a ginger bread theme, because of I happened to have a fitting outfit (outfit: taeyang Dollte-Porte Alfred). And because of you can make a pun of my name, Ginger Lady (haha). And also, because of what would Christmas be without ginger breads 😉 The one I'm holding is going to be shared with my darling Will <333 Hope you like!

I was quite excited to try green screen technique again, since the first try was kind of disaster 😬 The main program used at editing is Paint Tool SAI. Seems like my host have learnt a thing or two, since I don't seem so out of place with two-dimensional background this time. I would say it was a surprise how well the ginger bread and ginger house turned out, but those branches of spruce seem a little unnatural, at least. Anyhow, with this kind of first attempt, I'm eager to see how the three other pics will turn out.

The day after...

The day after the doll meeting two pretty awesome things happened.

First.

I got to try on this magnificent death scythe!

It actually belonged to a beautiful anime figure-lady, who was kind enough to borrow it to me for a photo shoot 💗

Notice how my halo of death Goddess appeared soon as I got it to my hands 😎

If the Grim Reaper Dispatch could consider even a moderate rise on the budget of the Retrieval Division, and served this kind of highly-qualified tools to the graduates (instead of the crappy toys), the mortal people would take us more seriously...

The second.

I got to meet my Sebby's young master Ciel Phantomhive! Now, you go and tell me, where is Sebastian??? TT_TT 

Well, apparently, she identifies as a young lady these days. And has dyed her hair to green (don't you think it fits her??)! 

It felt so nostalgic to suddenly meet this grumpy precocious soul in the doll world. I never expected I'd be so happy for this meeting TTvTT

Like in the old days, I'm his shadow, always waiting for his death to catch his soul before Sebby (after all, I love him, even if he's always been such an annoying little brat tearing me and Sebby apart) <3

Just couldn't resist but give a sweet little pat on the head. I love how she's avoiding it like my hand was going to bring her to heaven xD
